We cannot imagine a world without computers. Alan Turing was born in that world BUT did imagine their existence. A true genius!
His treatment by the British establishment over his sexuality was, and remains, a national disgrace and lead directly to his premature death in 1954. One of the greatest minds in human history was destroyed by ignorance and intolerance.
