Stripe Payment Gateway for Commerce Patterns

We are delighted to announce that our commerce site patterns now have a Stripe Payment Gateway capability as standard.

When we developed the site patterns we were very conscious that we needed to keep pricing simple for clients. Offering a single payment gateway with Paypal allowed us to do that at the time. 

As we've deployed more site pattern websites we've developed our processes to enable us to have a more uniform gateway deployment, and therefore offer more choice in gateway. The first addition to the standard gateways is the Stripe Gateway.

Stripe is an extremely powerful payment platform with very competitive pricing structures. Customers of all sizes seem to love it and we've seen customer satisfaction significantly improve on one large site we have using it. One distinct advantage we have seen is that it is very obviously a credit card payment process. It is not always obvious to customers that Paypal can be used in exactly the same way, even without a Paypal account.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

For sites where the majority of the traffic is on mobile devices, customers will be pleased to know that we have integrated those within the Stripe gateway. The option appears above the credit card detail entry and works seamlessly with both wallets.

Going Forward
