Using renewable energy is NOT a 'Get Out Of Jail Free Card' for your website's carbon footprint!
We've been busy running Digital Credibility(tm) Health Checks for people recently. It's been very pleasing to see how many websites are now 100% renewables powered. That's a great step forward.
What's worrying is that many of those same sites are carbon heavy monsters. It's as if the '100% renewables' badge gives the company the right to ignore modern, low carbon design because they use 'greener' energy. It doesn't, you should be doing both!
