Kidding ourselves social media

I use LinkedIn a lot. I've had an account since 2004. I find it very useful as a market research tool and to stay in touch with many colleagues from my past. However, the trend now is to post very frequent status updates and build 'following'.

I'm not great at either and when I do stop to make posts etc. I am always left feeling 'was that work?'.

I'm not sure, am I working now or just enjoying a social distraction. Are YOU working now or enjoying a social distraction?
