Overview
I-ntarsia is a hosted web site/content management system. This means that there is no software to install on your computer, everything is managed through a web browser. When working with i-ntarsia there are three key web sites that the user needs to consider:
- The management site, www.intarsia.com (yes, this one). This is the site that the user logs in to, to do any management of their web site. Because this is a public web site the user can be managing their site from anywhere in the world.
- The staging site. This is the users test site. Unlike some content management systems, we give the user a complete replica of their site to build and test content on. This means that the user can be absolutely sure that what they build will look just as they intend when they publish it to the live site.
- The live site. This is the site that the users customers see and use.
Other Sites
We can set up i-ntarsia to publish as many sites as is required. One common use for this is to have a "text-only" site to ensure compliance with disability law in a country. Because these are sites that are produced automatically by i-ntarsia, the user does not have to consider them when they are adding content.
